"Max's smile started a amazing morning in this little cafe for us. Located in what is jokingly called little Italy (4 Italian restaurants in 1 block), West Park Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch daily.
We had walked by the previous evening while Max was closing shop and he enticed us with the promise of fresh croissants at 9:00 am the next morning. Needless to say we were there on-time and waiting for them to come out of the oven.
Max offers a simple menu that consists of the bread of the day, made fresh nightly and ready at 9:00 am each morning. Offering traditional espresso, coffee and juice. For those requiring heavier fare, there is the promise of eggs etc.
We were here for the croissants, a traditional butter and a "pain au chocolat" or chocolate croissant, with a delicious fruit plate.
The lunch menu offers salads, sandwiches (the fresh lox looked particularly good).
Max is an avid cyclist and kayaker and can give you tips on where to do both in the area. A great conversationalist, drop by for a bite, some coffee and a tale or two. "
authentic Italian cappuccino in town...friendly service in 4 languages...lots of Americans, Canadians, Austrians and Germans who live in Huatulco do breakfast here...always fun, priced right...great place to learn about what is going on in town...and morning baked goods are killer!"
"I had developed a terrible craving for a real capacinno, luckily I stumbled onto the West park cafe and wow....amazing ...truly, truly amazing!"
